Charles Page High School senior Brett Becker started playing tennis at the age of 15. Now a member of the varsity tennis team at CPHS, Becker said he loves his team and is looking forward to a great season.
“My favorite part about my teams is how much we support each other and the great advice I get from them in key moments,” Becker said. “I’m really looking forward to regionals.”
Entering the new season, Becker said he has continued to work on his skill set.
“My strength is my service game and what I’m working on this season is my backhand shots,” Becker said. “I’m playing No. 2 singles for CPHS my favorite place to play is dual matches at home because all of my friends come out to support.”
Becker also serves as the president for the Charles Page interact club which he started.
“ ”“It works to help improve the community,” said Becker.
As for life after high school, Becker said he plans to attend college.
“My goal for after high school is to become a physical therapist,” said Becker.
Off the court, Becker finds inspiration in a family member.
“My biggest inspiration off the court is my sister because no matter what comes her way she always finds a solution,” said Becker.
To date, Becker said his biggest accomplishment is going to state for bowling in his first year on the team.
