OUTLOOK
Year after year the Union Redhawks are competing at a high-level while being part of the state tournament hopefuls every season. Under head coach Rudy Garcia, the Redhawks are poised for another great season that could find them competing for a gold ball.
“We have a good core group of guys returning off last year’s team, which gives us experience to go out and compete at a high level,” said coach Garcia.
VYPE Top 100 selectee Korbin Gunn (6-0, Sr.) is a three-year starter at point guard for the Redhawks. Gunn is a leader on and off the court while leading the team in steals and assists for the last two seasons. Coach Garcia said of Gunn, “he plays bigger than his size.”

Triston Driver (6-0, Sr.) can play the point or help at shooting guard. Driver is quick off the dribble and tough to stop in transition, Driver is a nice compliment to Gunn giving the Redhawks a solid backcourt and two guys who can make you pay. Also look for Miles Flemons (Jr.) can play power forward or post giving the Redhawks a big man who can score and rebound in the paint. His physical play sets the tone for Union and schools at the next level are taking notice. In big games, Flemons steps up in big ways.
Jaxson Boyd (Jr.) is a shooting guard who can hit from anywhere on the floor. Total effort guy who will see an increase in minutes this season for Union.
