CASCIA HALL COMMANDOS
Coach: LEE MAYBERRY
OUTLOOK
After appearing in the Gold Ball game in March, the Cascia Hall Commandos are in position to make another deep playoff push.
“The goal is a state championship, of course. That’s our goal every year,” said Cascia head coach Lee Mayberry. “We’re stepping up in class this year to 4A, and there are a lot of great teams in 4A. We know that reaching our championship goal will not be easy, but I think we’re ready and looking forward to that challenge.”
Dallas Lowe, a 6-foot-tall junior point guard, is expecting a big year.
“Super quick guard, athletic, high skill level and can score on all levels,” Mayberry said. “I really like his drive; gym rat, high motor.”

Junior Memphis Duffie spaces the floor, moves the ball and locks down opposing ball-handlers.
“Memphis is a strong, athletic guard, highly skilled and a great shooter who can also get to the rim,” Mayberry said.
Six-foot-4, 3-and-D man Roman Poindexter joins the Commandos after a productive sophomore year with Sapulpa.
“Roman is long and athletic and a good shooter. Great defender and rebounder. His game continues to develop,” Mayberry said.
Ethan Konkol, son of Tulsa men’s basketball coach Eric Konkol, looks to have a big junior season.
“Great shooter,” Mayberry said, “his length will help us on boards, and we expect him to get better as the season progresses.”
Josh Lewis, who had a massive game with four first-half 3-pointers against Kansas at regionals last year, looks to take his game to a new level.
“Josh is a good shooter and a tough kid,” Mayberry said. “He will help us stretch the floor on offense and provide some toughness on defense.”
On a team dominated by junior presence, Hudson Shiflet looks to fuel the team with gamesmanship.
“Hudson will provide senior leadership. He’s played on the last couple state tournament teams,” Mayberry said. “We’re looking for him to have his most productive season.”
For the Commandos to have success in a new classification, it will take “hard work, dedication and toughness,” Mayberry said, all integral values in the team’s philosophy.
“We’ve been telling our players that since day one,” Mayberry said. “My staff and I sometimes refer to our workouts as ‘deposits,’ and we’re hoping we can cash in on those deposits at the end of the year.”
