CASCIA HALL COMMANDOS
Coach: JOE MEDINA
9-1
OFFENSE
Without a doubt the strength of this year’s team will be on offense led by third year starting quarterback Barrett Mullen (6-2, 200). Mullen already owns most of the Commando passing records. For his career Mullen has attempted 612 passes, completed 365 throws for 5,522 yards, and 63 touchdowns. Mullen has already grabbed the attention of the University of Tulsa and Kansas State. Mullen has plenty of quality receivers to throw the ball to this season. Leading the way is the dynamic Fisher Lai at slot. Lai has caught 106 passes for 1,635 yards and 23 TDs for his career. The outside receivers are headed up by Carter Nathman. Nathman has 73 receptions for 1,359 yards and 23 TDs these past two years. His size and range have already landed him offers from Illinois State and Dartmouth. His brother Alex Nathman (Jr.) had a breakout season last year as well as senior Tyce Berman. There will be a battle for the tight end spot between Jacob Toppins, Cullen Darby, and Cort Strom. The Commandos have three quality running backs to carry the rock this season. Conner Powell (Sr.) provides size and strength while Quinn Livingston (So.) adds the speed and moves reminiscent of last year’s leading rusher Owen Darby. Dason McBride (So.) is a tough physical runner. Two starters in Aiden Estep and Vaughn Graham are back at offensive tackle. Both players are excellent run and pass blockers. Rowan Alexander (Sr.) looks to win the center spot while Spencer Snyder, Brody Kennedy, and Foster Gray will battle it out for the guard spots.

DEFENSE
The “Blue Swarm” defense will be under the leadership of new defensive coordinator Kyle Taylor. Coach Taylor joins the Commandos from Owasso High School. Leading the way on defense will be linebacker Aiden Estep (Jr.). Estep logged over 100 tackles last season and has started both ways since his freshman year. Vaughn Graham (Jr.) also returns at the inside linebacker position with Quinn Livingston (So.) and McBride also being in the rotation. The outside linebackers will be seniors Nathman and Darby with Jacob Toppins (Jr.) also competing for a starting job. Leading the way on the defensive line will be seniors Cort Strom, Spencer Snyder, and Conner Powell. The secondary will be a strength for the Commandos led by multi-talented Lai (Jr.). Lai is a shut-down corner and is already receiving attention from college scouts. He led the Commandos with 4 INTs last season. Seniors Beckett Garcia as well as Tyce Berman provide leadership for this unit. Look for Nathman and Logan Hickerson (So.) to battle it out for the final secondary spot.
