Cascia Hall’s Millie Tuttle – Tennis Spotlight – Presented by B+T GRP

Cascia Hall’s Millie Tuttle

Passion for a sport is developed over time. For Cascia Hall’s Millie Tuttle, her passion for tennis started developing when she was in the third grade. Now a senior, Tuttle said she is looking forward to playing doubles with her partner and friend.

“I am playing one doubles this season with my partner London Siegfried,” Tuttle said. “London and I have things we always do before matches that get us prepared. I drink lots of water and make sure to move my body before playing a match.”

In her final season of prep tennis, Tuttle said she has continued working to improve her game for her last semester of competition.

“I really like the net and have been improving on my all-around game for my last season,” said Tuttle.

Tuttle said everyone on the team is focused and they are excited to see what the season will bring.

“I love how my teammates and I all have a good sense of work ethic, and we all know how to lift each other up. We can all laugh together while also being serious when we need to,” Tuttle said. “My best friend and partner, London Siegfried, has given me so much advice and Lydia Hoose and Layla Drotar are teammates that have left past impressions on me. London, Liza, and Maggie always make everyone laugh, usually I tend to be the most serious, but Katie is at times too.”

The support from the school and family are motivating factors for Tuttle and allow her to focus on competing at a high level.

“Cascia hall has a very supportive and competitive community that gives me so much motivation,” Tuttle said. “My parents are definitely the most inspiring to me, as well as my two older sisters who I look up to so much. My coaches at Southern Hills, Coach Ashley, Dennis, Jack, Jacob, Russ, Dan, and all the other amazing coaches. Coach Wood is also a huge impact on me. Thank you, Coach Liles and Al, as well.”

Winning state has been her most proud moment and doing it one more time would be an amazing accomplishment.

“I am proud of winning state with London three years in a row, and I hope to do it again this year. I am proud of the hard work and time I put into this sport paying off,” said Tuttle. “I want to be very successful after high school and find the right fit for me in college. I also hope to continue playing tennis in other ways, since I’m not playing competitively.”
