Cascia Hall’s Stella Collins Athlete Spotlight Presented by Huntington Learning Center

Stella Collins

Cascia Hall

Stella Collins is a junior at Cascia Hall and a member of the varsity volleyball team. Collins plays the position of setter and said she loves the competitive nature of the sport.

“What I enjoyed about volleyball was making new friends that I get to be with every day, and I enjoy the competitive component of the sport. Going to state and competing to win last year was so fun because of how much everyone wanted it,” said Collins.

Her teammates have become more than just people she plays volleyball with. They have become some of her closest friends.

“I loved the close friendships I made during my time playing volleyball and have made some of my closest friends. I love how kind and supportive they all are especially on the varsity level when it can get stressful,” said Collins.

Asides from volleyball, Collins is involved in several groups at school, which keeps her schedule full.

“I’m involved in clubs which include Green Team, Key club, Spanish Club, and many others and I also participate in serving the community for Caritas Connections at Cascia,” said Collins.

Like many of her peers, Collins has used the services of Huntington Learning Center as she looks ahead to life after high school.

“I enjoy how nice my teachers are at Huntington and also how much I have learned throughout my time so far; my score has already gone up and I’m not even done. I plan on going to college, I’m still uncertain about where I want to go but I’m super excited. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family and working out and going on walks when it is nice outside,” said Collins.

Collins said any student looking to increase their test scores should look into Huntington.

“I would tell a student considering Huntington that it is a great program that is well put together and strives for you to be the best and meet your goals and to definitely do it,” said Collins.
