HOLLAND HALL LADY DUTCH

Coach: Crystal Lawson

23-24 Record: 11-14

OUTLOOK

There are plenty of reasons for Dutch fans to be optimistic this season. Head coach Crystal Lawson returns everyone to the lineup and expectations are growing as the season tips off.

“We are returning everyone from last year’s team, along with some new additions, so expectations are high for this season. We will have more depth than last year and are hoping the experience gained last year will pay dividends this year,” said coach Lawson.

Ava Casper- Senior – Holland Hall High School

Ava Casper (5-6, Sr.) and Mia Adams (5-8, Sr.) are a salty pair who can take over games and give the Dutch double digit points every night. Casper averaged 14.5 points a game while Adams averaged 14 points a game last season. Casper will start at guard while Adams will play forward.

Makayia Johnson (5-7, Sr.) will play guard giving the team an athletic player who can shoot and get the job done defensively. Taylar Carroll (5-6, Sr.) adds to the depth at guard and gives the Dutch another shooter on the perimeter. Johnson averaged 10 points per game while Carroll accounted for 5.0 points a game.

Also look for Leah Beakey (5-5, Sr.) at guard. Beakey is a leader for the Dutch in many ways. Coach Lawson calls Beakey a “incredibly resilient player with an unwavering commitment to her team.” Beakey makes her return after suffering an injury last season that kept her on the bench.

Other players to watch include Addison Price (5-5, Sr.), Jaya Tarver (5-10, Sr.), Brooke Bolz (5-6, Jr.), and Adison Hill (5-5, So.).
