Beau Broermann
Holland Hall
As his junior season arrived, Holland Hall’s Beau Broermann continued to work on his golf game in preparation for the new season. As a team, the Dutch have set goals for the group and Broermann is confident in his teammates and their abilities.
“Our team is looking new and young this year. We only have two returning varsity players and no seniors. I think this year is a good rebuilding year for Holland Hall golf. The part of my game I have worked on the most is my putting. Being able to putt well is the biggest difference between shooting under par compared to over par. It’s one of those things you can never be too good at,” said Broermann.
Being a student-athlete at Holland Hall is challenging and the high academic standards require the attention of every athlete. For Broermann, the support everyone provides is the difference.
“I love the support that not only the school provides but also the teachers, students, and every student-athlete gives me. They understand the commitment that the school requires and are flexible with our schedule,” said Broermann. “I love how supportive my teammates are to each other. I don’t have any memories with them that have been bad. I constantly am being lifted up by them and find myself smiling and laughing with them.”
Broermann also devotes time to the E-sports club at Holland Hall and said his favorite subject in science.
“My favorite subject in school is science. I loved taking Mrs. Baumann’s science class during my freshman year. My favorite teacher is probably my ceramics teacher Mrs. Spencer. She is such a kind-hearted person and cares for everyone,” said Broermann.
As for his future, Broermann said he would like to play golf in college, spend time with his friends and return to his favorite course, The Boulders Golf Club, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
