Holland Hall

The Dutch volleyball team has played in some exciting matches this season and in the middle of the action is sophomore Hadlee Reynolds.

Reynolds started her playing career when she was in the seventh grade, and he enjoyed every moment since. The Dutch are the No. 11 ranked team in Class 3A and are working hard to finish the regular season on a high note. Reynolds said she always enjoys playing against their crosstown rivals, Cascia Hall.

“My favorite memory is Hall Brawl and how competitive everyone gets,” said Reynolds. “My favorite tournament to play in is the Cascia tournament.”

As for her teammates, Reynolds said they have a good bond, and she tries to keep everyone loose during a match or in practice.

“My friend Blythe Confer, and I keep everyone laughing and the most serious is Natalie Westfall. The friendships I’ve made at Holland Hall is what I love most. It’s a great place for me,” said Reynolds.

Reynolds plays right side or outside hitter for the Dutch. A position that requires athleticism and confidence. Reynolds said the best advice she was given centered around hard work and she has taken that to heart.

“The best advice I received is that hard work is better than talent.”

In the classroom, Reynolds said her favorite subject is History. The sophomore said she wants to have a successful life after high school and be surrounded by good people that support her.
