Natalie Gillett

Holland Hall Tennis

VYPE: Natalie, what grade are you in and how long have you been playing tennis?

Gillett: I am a senior and I have played tennis for 10 years.

VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Holland Hall HS?
Gillett: I love being a student-athlete at Holland Hall because I am able to bond with my classmates and form closer connections with them through sports.

VYPE: How is the team looking for this season?
Gillett: I am very excited about our team this season. I think we have a good shot of succeeding at state because we are all good players who work together well.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
Gillett: I love all of the inside jokes my teammates and I have created over the years. We always have fun and laugh during the season. VYPE: What part of your game have you worked to improve?
Gillett: The past year I have worked to become more comfortable coming into the net during singles matches and finishing points with a volley.

VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school?
Gillett: I am part of the Environmental Club and Baking for Kindness Club.

VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?
Gillett: My favorite subject is science. Although I have loved all of my teachers at Holland Hall, I would say my favorite has been Dr. Bloom, my physics teacher.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
Gillett: After I graduate, I am planning on going to college somewhere in the Northeast, but I am not sure where yet.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Gillett: In my free time I love to go try new restaurants in Tulsa with my friends and family.
