OUTLOOK
The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a 26-win season that witnessed them make it to the state finals where they faced a juggernaut in Bethany. Head coach Melody Stewart returns a good core group of players who can score and play great defense.
Maddi Stewart (5-9, Jr.) averaged 15.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. Stewart was named to the VYPE Top 100 and is one of the top players in the state. Hopkins averaged 8.9 points with 3.7 rebounds per contest while Atkinson accounted for 8.1 points and 2.3 rebounds. This trio will help push the pace and points for Lincoln.
“ ”Payton Rea (5-5, Sr.) and Jayla Albert (5-11, So.) are two players who have big roles on the team again this season. Rea will bring her 5.3 points and 3.7 assists to the stat line while Albert will average 6.2 points and 3.5 rebounds a game or more. Azariah Woodruff (5-8) or “Z” is an exciting freshman who brings a lot of experience despite playing in her first year of varsity ball. Woodruff could be the X-factor for Lincoln this season.
