METRO CHRISTIAN PATRIOTS

Coach: JARED MCCOY

12-1

OFFENSE
As several key players make their return to the field for the Patriots this season, head coach Jared McCoy is eager to see what the team can accomplish after a 12-1 season a year ago. “We have key pieces returning from our 12-1, 2024 season including QB, RB, LB, and CB. It will take us a little while to get the new pieces into place, but I believe we have those guys on the roster and we have to work hard to figure out where everyone fits best,” said coach McCoy. Six starters are back on offense including Kincayde Eng (6-1, 185, Sr.) at quarterback. Eng follows a long line of great QBs and is looking to leave his mark on the program. Cooper Mitchell (5-11, 200, Sr.) is the type of player who would play any position if asked. Mitchell will see time at running back and on the defensive line. Mitchell brings leadership to the team in many ways. Ty Guest (5-10, 175, Sr.) has developed into a go-to target in the passing game. Finn Kouplen (6-0, 170, So.) was the second leading rusher last season and is a three-sport athlete. The line will feature Holden Kennon (6-4, 225, Sr.) and Cort Carlisle (6-1, 240). They are important pieces of the puzzle in the spread offense.

DEFENSE

Carson Marti (6-2, 215, Sr.) is an outside linebacker that could start on any team in the state. Marti flies around the field and plays a physical brand of football. Owen Lynch (6-0, 180, Jr.) is an inside linebacker and someone who is tough to block in traffic. The corners are Blake Parmley (5-10, 175, Sr.) and Gavin Thompson (5-11, 175, Sr.). Both guys bring good speed to the secondary and have the size to compete with anyone in the class. Mitchell is slated to play defensive end with Laken Lee (6-2, 200) possibly moving from OLB to DE this season. Also look for Easton Pinter (6-1, 290) up front as the Patriots will look to utilize multiple fronts out of the 3-4.
