Southern Nazarene University’s Carlos Zepeda – Presented by Southern Nazarene University

To say Carlos Zepeda is “all-in” when it comes to Southern Nazarene University would be an understatement.

Zepeda is not only enrolled in the Master of Arts in Sports Management program, but he suited up for the football team and worked with the coaching staff.

I attended SNU as an undergraduate while playing on the football team and was made aware of some post-graduate opportunities. Knowing how SNU had treated me throughout my undergraduate it was very motivating to me that I would find a just as a positive experience in the Master’s program,” said Zepeda.

Knowing what SNU had to offer was a big reason Zepeda stayed with the program and is eager to share that knowledge with the public.

“SNU helped me find the perfect balance between school, sports, and personal life. Now that I have finished playing my sport and am working and pursuing my master’s I still feel the staff has helped me feel like this is where I belong. Smaller class sizes have helped me build meaningful relationships and connections with professors and classmates. Truthfully the staff and on-campus resources have helped me develop so much professionally,” said Zepeda.

As his professional career moves forward, Zepeda believes the Sports Management program will open doors that would normally be difficult to transverse.

“This degree has already developed me professionally through the course material presented and will continue to grow me with connections outside of SNU. Program directors are always looking out for us with great opportunities for us to develop as future professionals,” said Zepeda.

Zepeda said anyone interested in the master’s program at SNU should take a close look at what SNU has to offer.

“My advice for anyone potentially considering SNU for a master’s degree would be to try it out for yourself. Talk with other alums and current students and you will surely find how impactful this place can be,” said Zepeda.
