VYPE: Graycee, when did you start playing softball and what grade are you in now?
GG: I started playing when I was in kindergarten, I am currently finishing my 10th grade year.
VYPE: What position do you play and what position would you like to try?
GG: I am a pitcher, first baseman, and outfielder, but I would love to try shortstop.
VYPE: What is your strength and what have you improved on the most this year?
GG: I would say my softball IQ is my biggest strength. In my skill set I’ve improved the most on learning the outfield.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
GG: My favorite thing about my teammates would have to be their fight in every game.
VYPE: What other activities are you involved in at school?
GG: At school I am also involved in the student athletic training team and this year I was one of the wrestling managers.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
GG: My mom because she is a Physician Assistant and she used to play softball.
VYPE: What are your plans for life after high school?
GG: My plan for life after high school is to go to college and play softball, go to Physician Assistant school, and to become a Physician Assistant in sports medicine for the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) or the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).
VYPE: What do you love about being a student-athlete at CHS?
GG: It’s such a small town, very quiet, I’ve lived here my entire life, our sports tend to produce really good talent and it’s very motivating.
VYPE: What are your plans for the summer?
GG: My plans for the summer include playing competitive softball, swimming, going to the lake, and going to rodeos.
