Sapulpa’s Zeke Porter
VYPE: Zeke, what age did you start playing soccer and what grade are you in now?
Zeke Porter: I began playing when I was four years old and I am currently a sophomore.
VYPE: What is your favorite thing about this group at Sapulpa?
ZP: My favorite part about this group is how close we are. This year we have faced a lot of adversity and work through that together.
VYPE: What other activities are you involved in at SHS?
ZP: I am currently a Sapulpa FFA chapter officer, member of NHS, and the Athletic Leadership team.
VYPE: What position do you play?
ZP: I am currently a midfielder but would be open to trying whatever position is needed of me.
VYPE: Which teammate has impressed you this season?
ZP: Senior Micah Gilbert has stepped up in a big way this year holding our defense together especially in our new formation.
VYPE: What is a strength in your skill set and what have you improved on the most?
ZP: I believe that one of my best abilities is my play making and IQ. I love to study and break down film and this has helped me in those areas of my game. I have also been working on improving my shooting this season.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing away from school?
ZP: I spend a lot of my time outside of school and soccer hanging out with friends and attending events at The Way Church.
VYPE: What are you plans for life after high school?
ZP: After high school I hope to attend Oral Roberts University and major in Business.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
ZP: Off the field my parents have been a major inspiration to me. They have always supported me and lead by example in all areas of my life!
