Cascia Hall’s Barrett Mullen

Cascia Hall’s Barrett Mullen and his teammates are ready for the upcoming season, which has the potential to be a great year for the Commandos. Mullen said the team is focused and he is ready to lead them into the season.

“I think we can win it all this year. The team is totally bought in on what’s going on. Everyone would love to hang another state championship banner, but it starts with the little things. We need to take it all step by step to eventually achieve that goal. Personally, this year I would like to be the best teammate I could be. My goal is to handout plenty of high fives and fist bumps every game. I also would like to be a mentor for some of the younger guys in practice,” said Mullen.

Coach Medina said of Mullen, “Mullen is one of the best quarterbacks in the state and with his size (6-2, 200), a legitimate college prospect. Mullen has already grabbed the attention of the University of Tulsa and Kansas State.” High praise from one of the top coaches in the state.

“The praise he gives me means a lot. It lets me know I’m on the right path and also pushed me to keep improving in being a leader and becoming the best football player I can be,” Mullen said. “Playing for a tradition rich program, I know there’s a standard to uphold. There have been many talented teams and players that have come through the program, and I would like our team and myself to be remembered as one of the greatest teams Cascia has had.”

Mullen said this team has the potential to add their names to the Cascia Hall history books.
“This team is different than any other teams I have seen. This team plays urgent, aggressive, and is full of competitors. In our team camp we looked hungry like we wanted to be the best team out there and we wanted everyone else to see it too,” Mullen said. “Some teammates to look out for this year are Fisher Lai, Carter Nathman, and Aiden Estep.”
