VICTORY CHRISTIAN CONQUERORS
Coach: BRETT SMITH
4-6
OFFENSE
Serving as head coach and defensive coordinator, Brett Smith is fired up about his team and the players making their return to the field as Conquerors. “Victory will start a number of talented underclassmen this year including Blake Bartmann at running back, Dom Lorae at tight end and Cooper Olson (6-0, 200) on the offensive and defensive lines,” said coach Smith. A small senior class consisting of six players, will make big contributions this season. “Dallas Dyer (5-10, 190), Tyler Morris (6-1, 200) at TE/LB, Ethan Aeschleman (5-11, 190) at ATH/DB, Sum Hoih DB/WR, Finn Key (6-6) WR/DB, Marley Martin (5-8, 200) at LB, bring back toughness and a lot of leadership to a team that will start the season with one of the toughest Non-District and District schedules in the state,” said coach Smith. Dyer will play all over the field for coach Smith. Last season Dyer had 12 touchdowns and averaged 9.0 yards per carry at running back before an injury shortened his season. Micah Tran (6-0, 225, Jr.) and Tyler Wilson (6-1, 240, Jr.) are key players up front. Also look for Scottie Beach (6-1, 175, Jr.) at wide receiver where he scored two TDs last season. Two sophomores are battling it out for the QB role. Maceo Miller and Brandon Flowers could split time at the spot with both bringing unique skills to the position. Also look for Aaron Beach and Cayden Mathurin to contribute in multiple ways.

DEFENSE
Braxton McGinnis (5-8, 160) will start in the defensive secondary giving the team another speed guy who can close and cover. Hoih and Key join McGinnis in the backfield with Aeschleman. Marley Martin made 48 tackles last season at linebacker while Morris had 42 with one INT. Dom Lorae (6-5, 215, So.) is a terror at defensive end. Last year as a freshman he recorded three sacks and six TFLs. “Victory looks to finish games out, coming off of a disappointing 4-6 season where four losses were one possession games in the 4th quarter,” said coach Smith. Dyer and S. Beach will help the secondary mature and not give up big plays late in the game. The coaching staff will consist of RJ Wakley-OC, Ramon Bonner-WR/DB, Trey McVay-WR/DB, and Caleb Edwards-OL/DL.
