Cetcher DeHart is a hard-working senior who puts family first. Going to work and making a living for his family is his ultimate goal but right now, football is his number one focus. Playing football for Bixby High School is his chance to shine.
“Make your last year your best year and have the most fun,” is advice he takes to heart. “Make it fun and do my best.”
Football allows Cetcher to focus and put his mind on something else. Putting all his focus on the game is his favorite part of being out on the field. He has also learned valuable lessons that have helped him grow as a person.
“Don’t let one thing ruin your day,” says Cetcher.
When playing a team sport like football, it takes the entire group working together to be successful. This entails hard work and dedication but players should also remember to enjoy the time spent together. Cetcher says his favorite part of being on his team is simply getting to make everyone smile.
The teammate to leave the biggest impression on Cetcher is Cord Nolan.
“He is there when I need him and pushes me to have a great day.”
Cetcher started playing football in the eighth grade. He says his mom inspires him because she has always been his supporter, believing in him.
“Thank you, Mom,” says Cetcher.
Away from football, the best vacation he has taken was to Key West with his mom. He recalls how beautiful it was and the enjoyment of getting to travel out of the state.
Representing BHS as an athlete is Cetcher’s chance to show others what a great school Bixby is. He has made many memories playing for BHS but some stand out above others. Competing in close games is the best adrenaline boost. The most exciting win and the one he is most proud of is when his team won the state championship.
