Broken Arrow’s Aryanna Ceasar

By Elizabeth Contreras

Aryanna Ceasar is currently a sophomore at Broken Arrow High School and has been playing softball for almost her entire life.

“I’ve played softball since I was four years old, and I’ve been playing competitive softball since I was seven.”

Ceasar says her family’s support has built her confidence.

“My family has always been my biggest cheerleaders,” she says. “They always push me to be the best version of myself.”

Over the years, her love of softball has only grown, driven by her dedication and the support of those around her. Playing for Broken Arrow is much like a second family for Ceasar.

“The coaches and support staff are amazing, and for such a large team, we get along like family,” Ceasar shares, adding that the community there feels like sisterhood.

She values the friendships, knowing that teamwork is at the heart of every success on the field. “I have a huge family, and they all have my back.”

Ceasar’s dedication to the game is clear through her strategic preparations outside of the batting cage, often studying film. She scouts opponents, studying their style of play to better understand their strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies. Not only does this method of preparation benefit Ceasar, but it also strengthens her team’s strategy and overall communication.

One of Ceasar’s most memorable victories came in Tennessee with her competitive team, Tulsa Shootout National, when they took home the PGF Super Select championship during one of the hottest and most brutal tournaments she’s ever experienced.

“There were so many tough teams,” she remembers. That win, she recalls, was the hardest they ever earned.

That experience taught Ceasar resilience, a trait she tapped into this past summer when she struggled on the field.

“My hitting took a big slump,” she shares. “I just kept working off the field to improve my technique.” Overcoming that challenge reminded her of what softball instilled in her — confidence and perseverance. “I know I can rise above any situation.”

That mindset is crucial because softball, as Ceasar says, is a tough sport.

“It’s literally blood, sweat, and tears out there,” she adds. “The wins are hard earned.”

This season, Ceasar is determined to stay disciplined in the classroom while sharpening her mechanics on the field, knowing that excelling in both is key to preparing for the next level.

After graduation, Ceasar hopes to continue playing softball at the collegiate level while pursuing a career in real estate. More than anything else, she hopes to apply the lessons of the game, and remember the friendships forged along the way. In short, Aryanna Ceasar’s story teaches us that setbacks are opportunities for growth, success is rarely achieved alone, and effort and persistence lead to results.
