Lady Sandite Wrestling – Presented by Rib Crib

As head coach Trent Cleveland prepares his team for the long season on the mat, several of his wrestlers are returning with a tremendous amount of experience and eagerness to get things going.

“The Lady Sandites only graduated one last season. This is a record year for starters returning not to mention a few freshmen who should crack the lineup. The girls coaches in Sand Springs are excited and ready to have a record year,” coach Cleveland said.

One name everyone is familiar with is Ambrielle Chambers (Jr.) who has a career record of 36-17 and is the first Lady Sandite to be a two-time state qualifier. Chambers is looking forward to another great season and making the state tournament for the third time.

After suffering an injury last season, Hannah Stephenson was forced to watch the team from the side of the mat. Despite the injury, Stephenson was there for her teammates and now that she is back and healthy, Stephenson is setting her sights on the state tournament.

Baylin Maynard is an upcoming newcomer who enjoyed wrestling success at the junior high level. Coach Cleveland said of Maynard, “Baylin has the qualities to have a successful high school career as well.”

Rylee Allen is another wrestler coach Cleveland is excited to see on the mat.

“Never a dull moment with Rylee, who had the best record on the team last season (20-9). She is the best teammate anyone could ever ask for. From her positive vibes to always bringing a smile to everyone’s face, she definitely makes other girls in the room better people.”
