LINCOLN CHRISTIAN BULLDOGS

Coach: JERRY RICKE

14-0

Lincoln Christian heads into 2026 looking to extend its dominance after a 14-0 state championship season, confident it has the personnel for another deep postseason run. Ricke says they are “looking forward to the opportunity that lies ahead,” are “excited about the returners” and “feel like we’ve got the right guys to make another postseason run,” even with a “very challenging” non-district slate designed to prepare them for district play. The Bulldogs feel “really good” about an experienced defensive box, new starting QB Major Brooks and dynamic junior RB/receiver CJ Wright as focal points of the attack.

Offensively, Lincoln Christian is a multiple spread team that uses the run game to set up play-action and RPOs. Ricke explains, “We are a spread offense that uses multiple formations and personnels,” and that they “love to use our run game to set up our play action pass and RPOs,” organizing everything around “players first, formations second, and plays third” to maximize touches for their playmakers. Wright (5-9, 170) returns after 907 rushing yards and 9 TDs plus 35 catches for 363 yards and 8 TDs, joined by junior WR Caleb Peterson (5-10, 175), who had 250 receiving yards and 3 TDs, and senior FB Rain Ragland (6-0, 245) and senior TE Colt Monsey (6-3, 235) as physical pieces in the box. Sophomore QB Major Brooks (5-10, 180) steps in at quarterback, surrounded by a veteran line anchored by senior LT Lincoln Torres (6-3, 240).

Defensively, the Bulldogs base out of a 3-3 stack but will show opponents multiple looks to keep offenses uncomfortable. Ricke notes, “We are a base 3-3 stack defense but will give the opposing team multiple looks,” leaning on a loaded front seven that returns significant production. Torres posted 65 tackles, 24 TFLs and 8 sacks, Monsey added 40 tackles, 11 TFLs and 3 sacks, and Ragland produced 28 tackles, 9 TFLs and 3 sacks on the defensive line, while senior LB Parker Rogers and junior LB Isaac Beisel combined for over 120 tackles, 20 TFLs and 4.5 sacks. In the secondary, Peterson (34 tackles, 4 INTs) brings elite speed after running 10.43 in the 100 meters, giving the defense a true eraser on the back end.
