9 Questions for CPHS Softball Player Bailey Copeland – Presented by Fred Ballard Insurance

VYPE: Bailey, what grade are you and what age did you start playing softball?

Bailey Copeland: I am a sophomore and I have played since I was 3 

VYPE: I know you’re only in your second year of varsity play, but do you have a favorite moment playing for the Sandites?
BC: My favorite moment has been starting for varsity as a freshman.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject or teacher in school?
BC: My favorite subject is math, and my favorite teacher is Mr. Reagan.


VYPE: What position do you play?

BC: I play 2nd base and outfield.

VYPE: What makes Charles Page High School a great place for a student-athlete?
BC: CPHS is a great place to advance in my academics and play softball at a competitive level.


VYPE: Tell me about your teammates. Who keeps everyone laughing and who is the most serious?  
BC: The funniest player is Rowen Hull, the most serious is Lakelyn Harger. 

VYPE: How do you mentally prepare yourself for competition?
BC: I mentally prepare myself by not letting any outside business in my head while playing softball. I focus on what I need to do to help my team.

VYPE: What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
BC: The best advice I’ve received is to not think about what I need to do at the plate, I need to just let my body go and so would the ball. 

VYPE: What are your plans for life after high school?
BC: After high school I plan to go to college on a scholarship for softball and continue to study to be a nurse.
