VYPE: What goals do you have for this baseball season?
Caiden Widdoes: My goals for the season are to help my team win a state championship which hasn’t happened in this program’s history and to be able to not only build myself up as a player but lead my team to be the best versions of themselves on and off the field.
VYPE: What has baseball taught you that you use in your daily life?
CW: Give 110% effort in everything you do.
VYPE: What’s your favorite part of being involved in baseball?
CW: The brotherhood we make that we cannot only use now but even 10 years down the road.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
CW: My parents inspire me every day to be the best version of myself.

CW: Not getting in your own head about an error or a bad at bat and being able to move onto the next one.
VYPE: What do you think makes a great baseball player?
CW: Putting in the effort in the cages or on the field after practice even when no one is looking.
VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
CW: I would say my dad is because he was a multi-sport athlete that was fast and athletic, and he taught me a ton of what I now use in my game every day.
VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
CW: I wish I could play basketball because it just seems fun and it’s a fun game to play with your friends outside of school and practice.
VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
CW: It’s gotta be “Rooster” by Alice In Chains or “Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden.
