Glenpool’s Aria Factor – Soccer Spotlight – Presented by Redbud Physical Therapy

Glenpool’s Aria Factor

Glenpool High School senior Aria Factor knows what it means to carry responsibility on the soccer field, and she embraces it as one of the Lady Warriors’ defensive leaders.

A varsity fullback and center back, Factor plays one of the most demanding roles on the field. She said the job comes with constant pressure because defenders are often asked to erase mistakes before they turn into goals. “The pressure of being the last line of defense, and knowing the team is always counting on you when they make mistakes,” Factor said.

Even with that burden, Factor has found joy in the relationships built through the program. She said Glenpool’s team chemistry stands out because the players genuinely enjoy spending time together on and off the field. “Our team has real friendships, and we actually enjoy being around each other/playing together,” Factor said.

That bond means even more because Factor has deep roots in the community. A lifelong Glenpool resident, she has grown up alongside many of the same teammates, turning years of shared practices and matches into something she considers special. “I’ve lived in Glenpool my whole life and played with a lot of the same girls, so getting to grow and play alongside them for the long-term is very special to me,” she said.

Factor said one of her biggest strengths is her speed, especially along the back line, where quick recovery can change a match. At the same time, she is focused on becoming a more complete player by sharpening her ball-handling in tight spaces and under pressure.

“My biggest strength is my speed, especially on the back line. I’m working to improve my ball-handling, especially under pressure and in tight spaces,” she said.

Off the field, Factor credits her parents for helping shape her drive and determination. “My parents, because they have worked so hard to get me where I am and inspire me to keep getting better,” she said.

After graduation, Factor plans to study environmental science in college and build a future in that field. Her message to younger players reflects the same mindset she brings to defending: stay teachable, stay committed and trust the work. “My advice to the younger players is to be coachable, work hard, and know that you will continue to improve if you push yourself,” Factor said.
