VYPE: What life lessons or skills has football taught you that you use in your daily life?
Lonnie Bowler Jr: Respect and time are not given on or off the field. It’s earned.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
LBJ: Getting to build character with my brothers.
VYPE: What makes you passionate about your sport?
LBJ: I’m the baby of the family. I got to make it.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
LBJ: My mom really, the woman went through cancer and still finds a way to work 16-plus hours.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
LBJ: Jordan Deroin. He was my definition of ‘iron sharpens iron.’
VYPE: Here is your chance to say thank you to anyone you wish.
LBJ: Firstly, I would like to thank all my coaches and teammates for the opportunities they present my way, cause without them, I wouldn’t be doing this right now. Last but not least, my family, they’ve been through so much with me.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
LBJ: Don’t be so quick to make yourself seem like a fool, you never know who’s watching and always play with a chip on your shoulder.
VYPE: Do you have any hobbies, or anything special you want to share about yourself?
LBJ: I run track and almost made state last year, but I’m not satisfied cause almost don’t count. I can play multiple positions on the field.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?LBJ: My plans after high school are college ball. I want to be something great.
