Broken Arrow’s Caleb Lamb – Cross Country Spotlight – Presented by BA Flooring and Design

Broken Arrow’s Caleb Lamb

In his senior season at Broken Arrow High School, Caleb Lamb is competing in his final season of prep cross country and his expectation for the season are lower times and solid runs at meets.

“My expectations are to run low 16s again to maybe 15s this year in the 5k,” said Lamb.

Being a member of the team and competing with his teammates is something Lamb truly enjoys. Lamb has fun with his teammates, but when it’s time to lock in, they know how to get focused and attack the task at hand.

“What I love about my team at Broken Arrow is how good we get along with each other, and we always have fun,” said Lamb.

The senior said his older brother is a source of inspiration on and off the course.

“My big brother inspires me because we pretty much grew up together, and he is the one that told me to start running,” said Lamb.

Lamb started competing in cross country when he was in the seventh grade at Claremore. During that time, Lamb has developed his own way of dealing with the tough runs.

“I don’t really think, I just run, and I don’t have much on my mind,” Lamb said. “I also do Track for Broken Arrow High School.”

In the classroom, Lamb mentioned his favorite subject and teacher.

“My favorite subject in school is my Lifetime Nutrition class, and my favorite teacher is my 10th grade English teacher at BA, Ms. Bear,” said Lamb.

Away from running and school, Lamb says he enjoys working and spending time with friends and family.

“I enjoy working at QuikTrip, hanging out with my friends when I can, and seeing my family.”

As for life after high school, Lamb is still considering his options.

“Honestly, I don’t know where I’ll be after high school yet,” said Lamb.
