KIEFER TROJANS
Coach: TRENT WORLEY
9-3
Kiefer heads into 2026 with high expectations after a 9-3 season and a senior class that has already played in three quarterfinals and one semifinal. Head coach Trent Worley, now in his seventh year, said the program is “very optimistic” thanks to a 16-member senior group that has logged a lot of quality football and returns eight offensive starters and six defensive starters. With that experience and track record, the Trojans expect to remain a fixture in the postseason picture.

Offensively, Kiefer will base from a spread-wing alignment, using multiple personnels and formations to stretch the field from sideline to sideline while still prioritizing a physical run game. Senior quarterback Cash Worley (6-5, 210) is the centerpiece after rushing for 907 yards and 16 touchdowns and passing for 954 yards and 12 scores last season, with the offense running through him as both a runner and passer. Senior playmaker Lucas Boyles (5-9, 160) adds versatility as a running back and receiver after rushing for 300 yards and four touchdowns, while senior linemen Sawyer Conner (6-3, 325), Tanner Hicks (6-1, 255) and Talon Welker (6-0, 260) anchor a veteran offensive front. Junior receiver Blaize Fuller (6-2, 165) gives Worley another downfield threat in a passing game the staff believes continues to improve.
Defensively, the Trojans return six starters and will base out of a 3-3 stack while still playing multiple fronts and coverages. Kiefer prides itself on being an attacking, multi-front defense built on pursuing the football and tackling, with senior lineman KJ Bowers (5-9, 230), who made 37 tackles, seven tackles for loss and Hicks (43 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack) leading the charge up front. Linebackers Doug Crowder (6-0, 190) made 84 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and Weston Little (5-11, 175) added 41 tackles, seven tackles for loss, providing production at the second level, while safety Brody Baxter (6-0, 185) grabbed 89 tackles, three interceptions. Cornerback Boyles accounted for 48 tackles, one interception, solidifying the secondary. Worley, a VYPE Top 100 nominee being recruited as a tight end by several Division II and FBS programs, gives Kiefer a rare combination of size, speed and experience at quarterback, and the staff believes this senior-heavy roster has the tools to make another deep playoff run.
