Q&A with Owasso Softballer Kaylee Isam – Presented by Rib Crib

VYPE: Kaylee, what was your favorite moment this season?

Kaylee Isam: My favorite moment from this season was the first round of state against Stillwater. Everyone was so loud, and hype and the game was just so much fun.

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?

KI: I love the bonds I have made with each and every person on the team. It truly feels like a second family.

VYPE: What position do you play?

KI: I played shortstop and pitcher this season.

VYPE: What are your strengths as a player and what did you improve on the most?

KI: I think my strengths as a player is my hitting and ability to play any position my team needs me. I’m working to improve my arm strength and spin on my pitches.

VYPE: Which teammate is the most vocal and who keep everyone laughing?

KI: The most vocal teammate Katelynn Knight or Payton Maggard and the teammate that keeps everyone laughing is Trinity Scott.

VYPE: What was the biggest surprise this season?

KI: The biggest surprise this season was the fight this team put up. We had so many setbacks this season and everyone still continued to give it their all.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

KI: My sister Tiffany and my dad are my biggest inspirations; they always push me to be my best and I really look up to them.

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?

KI: My favorite subject in school is math and my favorite teacher is my kindergarten teacher from Collinsville, Mrs. Sallee.

VYPE: What other activities are you involved in at OHS?

KI: I am a part of NHS and Owasso Track and Field.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

KI: In my free time I like hanging out with my friends.
