OWASSO LADY RAMS
Coach: KENDALL WOODWARD
2024-25 Record: 17-12
OUTLOOK
The cupboards are full for coach Kendall Woodward and the Lady Rams as they return all but one player from last years team.
“We return all but one of our varsity players from last season. Strong experience from last year will benefit us this season. We expect our guard play to be improved and more dynamic than last year. Our post players will continue to anchor us with the skill. Overall, we anticipate a very successful season,” coach Woodward said.
Madi Hill (5-11, Jr.) is a force on the floor. Last season she averaged 14.6 points and 7.7 rebounds a game. She was named to the VYPE Top 100 list and is in the running for the Miss Basketball Oklahoma award.
“She plays at a very high level and has a strong basketball IQ. She has improved her outside shot to compliment her inside play. She was an All-State Tournament team member her freshman year and led our offense last year as a sophomore,” said Woodward. “She has great size and knows how to use her body to find positioning for rebounds and putbacks. She will have another great season as a junior.”
Anna Sudbeck (6-1, So.) makes her return as well after a stellar freshman season where she averaged 8.7 points and 4.4 rebounds a game. Sudbeck is a long guard who is a matchup nightmare. Sarah Yokley (6-0, Sr.) is another long guard who gives opponents all sorts of trouble. Macee Pruitt (5-6, So.) brings the work ethic and is the heart and soul of the team.
Also look for Annabelle Nguoan (5-7, Jr.) who averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game last season at guard. Sydnee Thomas (5-7, Sr.) is another guard who got in on the scoring, averaging 2.5 points and 1.1 assists in limited action last season. Both are expected to have a larger impact this season.
Other players to watch include Emma Decoster (6-0, So.), Katelynn Knight (5-11, Sr.), Kalai Johnson (5-6, Jr.), and Kaylee Crawford (5-7, Sr.). Knight will see time in the post for the Lady Rams, giving coach Woodward another option in the paint.
