Catoosa’s RJ Hall

Training and spending time in the gym to get better is one reason the Catoosa basketball team is poised for a strong season. RJ Hall is known for being a gym rat, always working to get better and help his team win.

“A strength of my game is my playmaking ability, and an area I’m focused on improving is my physicality. I train three-times a week at 5am to get stronger and faster,” Hall said. “I love the competitiveness and hunger of my teammates at Catoosa. We all get along really well and push each other to be better.”

Hall said his teammates are like family and they push one another to get better with every practice. Some are more vocal while others can keep the gym loose.

“The most vocal teammate is definitely Ryder Phillips, and the one who keeps everyone laughing is Anthony Barnes,” Hall said.

This season Hall will play point guard, but he’s also considered a combo guard and can play anywhere the team needs him. His expectations for the season never change.

“My expectations for this season are to have a winning record and make a deep playoff run,” said Hall. “LeBron James inspires me to work hard every day to be the best player I can be on the court and a great person off the court.”

Off the court, Hall is involved in many activities at school and he said he does have his favorites.

“Currently a member of National Honor Society and hopeful to get involved in student council soon,” said Hall. “My favorite subjects are definitely Math and History, and my favorite teacher was my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Warren from Holmes Park Elementary.”

In his free time, Hall said he enjoys listening to music, playing 2k, and watching TV.Catoosa’s RJ Hall – Basketball Spotlight – Presented by Catoosa Flowers
