VYPE: What grade are you currently in and how long have you been cheering?

Bailey Cartwright: I’m in 12th grade and I have been cheering for 12 years.

VYPE: What is your job on the cheer squad?

BC: My job on the cheer squad is to encourage everyone to do their best.

VYPE: How much time do you spend practicing before the school year even starts?

BC: We practice for a few weeks and attend one of the UCA cheer camps at Great Wolf Lodge in Texas. This is probably one of the highlights I’ve looked forward to most.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?

BC: One thing I love most about my teammates is that they’re always there for me.

VYPE: Name three people you would want to be with you in a zombie apocalypse.

BC: My friends Jessica, Harmoni, and Casha.

VYPE: What are your favorite pregame and postgame meals?

BC: A subway sandwich for pregame and postgame ice cream.

VYPE: What is your favorite school subject and who is your favorite teacher?

BC: My favorite school subject is math, and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Hoy.

VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?

BC: My plans after I graduate is to continue my education to become a registered nurse.

VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life and why?

BC: My parents have been a big influence in my life because they are so supportive and uplifting.
