
Siblings may argue and disagree on things, but they usually always work things out in the end. Michael Blendowski, Matthew Compton, and Madison Compton are three siblings that attend Catoosa Public Schools and VYPE wanted to take a few minutes to get to know them a little better.
VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?
Michael: I am a senior and I play football, wrestler, play soccer, and run track.
Matthew: I am a sophomore. I am on the football, wrestling, and soccer teams.
Madison: I am an eighth grader. I am a cheerleader and I wrestle.
VYPE: What does it mean to represent your school when you compete?
Michael: It means everything to me when I compete for my school, I got everyone there cheering me on to win and it’s just a fun environment to be in.
Matthew: To come out on top and be ALLIN.
Madison: It means you’re not just competing for yourself, but you’re also showing others what your school stands for.
VYPE: Who is someone in your life that has made an impact on you and how did they impact your life?
Michael: Coach Sal Guerrero has made a big impact on my life since he came onto the program. He’s always been by my side for anything I need.
Matthew: I would say my older brother Michael. It’s always good to look up to him and see how much he’s accomplished in high school career and I’d like to do the same.
Madison: My family because they show up to everything and support me through my highs and lows.
VYPE: What teacher has made the biggest impression on you? How?
Michael: Andrew DeArmond has made the biggest impression on me mostly because if I ever needed him, I know he would be there whether it’s school related or not, I know I can count on him to be there for me.
Matthew: Coach DeArmond is always pushing me in sports to be the best and making sure I’m doing good in my school work.
Madison: Andrew DeArmond because he pushes me when I’m tired, helps me get better at things I’m not good at & he is always there for me when I need him.
“ ”VYPE: What current or former teammate made the biggest impression on you?
Michael: Jacy Richardson has made the biggest impression as a teammate. We worked out all summer long and all season long, I know I could count on him to show up whether it be a big need or little he is there.
Matthew: My brother, Michael Blendowski, has made the biggest impression on me, pushing me to get better in the wrestling room and he’s always in my corner every match.
Madison: Katie Pruitt and Frankie West have both inspired & influenced me by their dedication, teamwork, and positive attitudes during practice and school
VYPE: What is your favorite meal?
Michael: Burrito from Chipotle
Matthew: Sushi
Madison: Fried Shrimp
VYPE: You can pick any place for vacation, where would you go?
Michael: I think I would choose to go to the Bahamas or somewhere tropical, for one I’ve never been and I have heard it was really cool and fun.
Matthew: Japan to eat sushi!
Madison: Bahamas because I would love seeing all the beaches and going on adventures.
