Ifeoma is the definition of student-athlete at Jenks High School.
“Something I love about being a student-athlete at Jenks is the supportive nature of everyone there. From coaches, to teachers, teammates, and staff. Everyone all around cares about you and your well-being. There are also people that will keep me on top of my studies and help me get good grades while I’m actively participating in sports,” Ifeoma said. “My favorite subject in school is math. I don’t have a favorite teacher, I appreciate all of them.”
Aside from basketball, Ifeoma is involved in Pre-Med Society and Key Club. The sophomore said she plans on attending college once she graduates from Jenks.
“ ”“After I graduate, I would love to play college given the opportunity. As for studies I would like the become a Dentist so I will take pre-dental courses in college,” said Ifeoma.
Basketball is a passion for Ifeoma, and she loves being around her teammates.
“Something I love most about my teammates is how they have the ability to bring out the best of you. They are the people that always motivate and support you,” Ifeoma said. “A teammate that had impressed me the most is my former teammate, Jill Twiehaus. She was always the most hardworking on the court and put in so much time working on her craft. She was also one of the kindest and humble players I’ve met.”
Ifeoma said her mother has been a big influence in her life. “A big influence for me off the court is my mother. She is the hardest working woman I know. She works the hardest she can for her family and is always there for us. When she is tired, she gets the strength to take us to work practice, support us at games, energy to cook. She is someone I am beyond thankful for.”
